Today’s share is a clamshell painting depicting the Old Tennent Church, a site that has several connections to the origin story of the Kinzie-Gordon clan. The church is most famous for the role it played in the pivotal Battle of Monmouth during the American Revolution. More importantly, for decades this Presbyterian church served as the heart of the community, especially for the numerous Scottish immigrants who settled nearby.
