I had planned to blog this morning about the Scottish roots of the Kinzie-Gordon clan (more on that tomorrow), but some unexpected news altered my plans. The book is officially an award-winner! The NYC Big Book Awards have named it a 2026 Distinguished Favorite in the category of Biography-Historical!
The honor is especially surprising because we barely made the publication deadline for consideration. Lesson learned: It never hurts to throw your name into consideration, even if it is at the last minute! Big thanks to publicist Kelsey Butts for recommending I submit the book for consideration.
The awards ceremony will be held in NYC in April! More to come . . .
